CARD HOLDERS HAVE ACCESS TO
READING MATERIALS:
BOOKS, LARGE TYPE BOOKS, MAGAZINES, AND NEWSPAPERS.
PUBLIC COMPUTERS:
INTERNET, MICROSOFT WORD, PUBLISHER, EXCEL, POWER POINT, AND ACCESS.
OTHER:
ART PRINTS, VIDEOCASSETTES, DVD’S, and AUDIO BOOKS.
Borrowers are financially responsible for materials loaned to them which are lost or damaged. Fines will be collected on items kept past the due date. For your convenience, our library has an exterior book drop located near the front door. Videos and DVD’s may be put in the video drop. Audio books must be returned inside. Thank you.

WHAT WE HAVE AND HOW TO FIND IT
Librarians are on duty to help you find the answers to your questions, to point you in the right direction when you are doing research, and to suggest books and other material you might enjoy.
The library provides telephone reference service for easily answered questions such as, zip codes, company addresses, and title searches.
The Library collection consists of approximately 70,000 books and subscribes to numerous magazines and newspapers.
The Orange Leader is available on microfilm back to 1886, although many early issues are missing.
We have books specifically selected for all age groups from picture books for preschoolers through Large Type books for those who need or enjoy the extra ease in reading. Our reference collection includes many other books to help you locate specialized information.
OTHER SERVICES
If the book you are looking for is not on the shelf, we will reserve it for you.
We may Interlibrary loan books we do not own and receive photocopies of magazine articles. Please check the reference desk for any materials you cannot locate.
A copier is available for 15 cents a copy for black and white copies.
There are special programs for children, from September through April, there are weekly preschool story hours. During the summer we sponsor a Summer Reading Program for school age children and a Young Adult Reading program for teens. For more information please see the Childrens and Young Adult tab.
Beginning in January, the library cooperates with the IRS in distributing Income Tax Forms. AARP also offers assistance in filing income tax returns, free of charge.
For genealogists, the library has a collection of books and census microfilms for Texas and Louisiana.
